-open JSP file where is used EL in HTML table
-ERROR: </tr> and </td> right after some EL expression are marked as "unpaired
end tag" (see attached screenshot)

#99526 has been fixed, but it does not mean that this issue is automatically

The same problem happens when the html code contains entity reference e.g. &nbsp; &amp; etc.

The problem with html tags being marked as unpaired when there is EL or entity reference inside has been fixed by
hacking the JSP AST evaluator which currently cuts all JSP like elements from the AST so the html features can work on
the AST peacefully. Please verify ASAP. Thanks.

Can't verify as fixed. Tag errors appear to have been repaired, however there is an issue with CC malfunctioning after 
EL.

Example: (| char represents cursor position)

   <h3>${1+1}</|

Invoked CC doesn't offer '<h3>' as it should (and does with <h3>foo</| )

Moreover, there were a lot of exceptions encountered during the verification however, see issue 137685 and issue 137687.
