This is still a problem. I cannot build from source, so I still cannot build Javadoc. When will these be made available again? As discussed on the dev@openide list in the past three days, it's not even possible to build javadoc on your own for the M10 branch. If this issue had been addressed earlier, then the build problem that prevents javadoc from being built would have likely been fixed before the milestone went out in the first place. So in case my previous explanation was not clear, here is the problem. One can no longer download a ZIP file of javadoc from netbeans.org to use in platform development. One can also not build javadoc because the build is broken WRT javadoc, at least in the M10 branch. How then are we supposed to get the javadoc to use for platform development? Javadoc builds are now available. Fixed in nightly build #200708030000 http://bits.nbextras.org/netbeans/6.0/nightly/200708030000/zip/ Please note that team around the nbbuild module does care about infrastructure to build and publish javadoc. We usually do not care about content issues causing javadoc build failures. Content issue is the most frequent cause for javadoc unavailability and usually introduced by a developer changing javadoc content. This is true also for M10. Should you need any further discussion on this topic, do not hesitate to start new thread i.e. on nbdev@netbeans.org mailing list. Thanks so much for fixing this, Rudolf. If you're ever in St. Louis, dinner is on me :-) I actually just reported the state. I suppose credits go to Jesse (jglick). Did I fix something? I guess it was by accident! |
