I myself think the existing methods are sufficient and created this bug mainly for recording the issue. It could be argued that, as part of plugin submission, we should ask plugin owners to specify a link to bug submission. But that may be overkill. And plugin portal will any way have no way of ensuring that the link remains valid. For third party plugins, IMHO, plugin's homepage and comments-feedback are sufficient mechanisms for communication. Closing the bug as invalid. |
