This has been my pet peeve with NB since 1999 (or so it seems). I'm flabbergasted that I couldn't find an issue already
open for this, so here I go:

The IDE should allow the users to set default background/foreground colors (and fonts) for the IDE overall. Some of us
like working on screens with dark background and light foreground (because it lowers eye strain!) but we keep having to
stare at NB's white background. While the editor is customizable out the wazoo....we can't set something as simple as
the background color used for any of the other IDE windows (navigator, output window, debug window, etc.)

This is really a basic feature that should have been in the product years ago. Please add it.

Isn't this duplicate of Issue #41792 ?

No, that issue (which I also filed - back in 2004) was specific to the editor. This issue regards everything BUT the
editor.

I just noticed that I filed essentially the same bug a couple years later:
http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=151069
Since that one is getting some attention, I want to mark this one as a duplicate of the later one.
