[ BUILD # : 200904301401 ] [ JDK VERSION : 1.5 ] Strangely, the first time I tried this the build failed. But I tried 3 more times, and each was fine. It would be good if someone from QA could investigate. Michal promised to look at it. I passed through mentioned tutorial and everything is ok on build #200905190201. Deployed and ran successfully. Closing as works for me. This still fails for me on 200905170201. I'll give it another go when 200905190201 becomes available to me. I upgraded to 200905180201 and I still got the same problem. I them restarted NB against a new userdir and this time it worked. So it seems that the userdir was in some way responsible for my problems. I'm reopening this issue, as I'm still encountering it from time to time. [ Product Version: NetBeans IDE 6.7 (Build 200906241340) ] [ Java: 1.6.0_13; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 11.3-b02-83 ] [ System: Mac OS X version 10.5.7 running on x86_64; MacRoman; en_US (nb) ] 1. Using the 6.7 release with clean userdir, create a standard Java Web project. 2. Set it to run on GlassFish v3. 3. Run the project. The latest comment with the exception looks like a GlassFish plugin bug, reassigning. The latest NPE problem does not look like a P1, changing to P2. I asked Peter to take a look at this. The NPE from GlassFishConfiguration is due to no J2eeModuleProvider instance being found for the referenced configuration file (e.g. web.xml) (or no configuration file). The excerpt above showing an NPE in the GlassFish plugin is not related to the original bug that prompted this filing. This NPE is innocent and can be ignored. It is informational indicating the plugin encountered an unexpected condition preventing it from determining the version of the server for this project and defaulted to AS 9.0 descriptor files (which is fine for either GF v2.1 or v3). Since the original messages.log in it's entirety was not attached, I can't tell the context under which this exception occurred. Reporter: If you want to follow up on this NPE, please file a new P3 issue against serverplugins/glassfish_v3 and attach the *entire* netbeans messages.log file containing this exception. If you have steps to reproduce that cause this exception to appear in the log, that is even better. Since the original issue is in fact a duplicate of issue 167755, I'm closing it as a duplicate. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 167755 *** |
