Yes, I had the same thought. But there's no need for this difference between the icons. See new attachment 142893 [details]. I looks ok I think. Most users will see icons in 16x16 size and this will help them identify the .exe file as an installer package. |
Created attachment 142880 [details] Screen shots of icons before and after and corrected .ico file NB 7.4 MS Windows. Situation: When using NBI for RCP applications. Problem: The icons in nlw.exe (which is used as the installer launcher) are inconsistent. See attached file "IconsExisting.png". The 16x16 icons are different from the rest which means you get different icon in Windows depending on how you display in Windows Explorer. Resolution: I've created new icon file, "nlw-correct.ico", which simply needs to replace the existing nbi/engine/native/launcher/windows/resources/icon.ico file somewhere in your Hg. Then you'll get correct icons next time you build nlw.exe. I've also attached a screen shot of the new icons: "IconsCorrected.png" so that you can see what they look like ... or you can use any kind of icon view software to verify. This error is small but very easy to correct.
