Our team @ Dataverse has ran into inconsistencies with NetBeans deploying a glassfish application. Some of our developers run into these issues while other has not. These issues can be broken down into two parts:

1) GlassFish 4.1 + NetBeans 8.2 = integration broken :
In some cases, NetBeans 8.2 fails to communicate with a GlassFish 4.1 instance. Some installations in our group have this problem while other do not. There are no obvious errors in the GlassFish server logs or the IDE logs to work with. See our issue in our github for more info: https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/issues/4088

2) GlassFish + NetBeans networking related bug :
With some of our installations, Netbeans & GlassFish are only able to talk to one another on some networks, even though both reside on the same local network and all configs seems local network based. Turning off networking leads to a JMX error while being connected to some networks leads to a timeout and eventual error message. On other networks, the connection works with no problems. This has been tested with NetBeans 8.1 & Glassfish 4.1, due to NetBeans 8.2 having the issue stated above. It may still be helpful to attach the logs please; both GF and NB; I noticed in one of the Github issues for instance there are malformed IPv6 URLs. I would like to see what is trying to use those URLs. There may be even some configuration info that is useful if available too; such as the info from the registered servers/services.
