Description David-john Burrowes 2002-09-10 02:55:10 UTC
From a user request:

The application I'm debugging (which happens to be
netbeans) now has
a bunch of class breakpoints set. I'm trying to
trigger the breakpoints.
I'm running the debugger and the debugee in
different Solaris window manager
workspaces, so that I can switch quickly back and
forth between their
windows. I'm trying to get a breakpoint to hit --
but I don't know when
that has happened. Sometimes things are just slow.
 I would like it
if I could hook up auditory feedback to the
debugger. In particular,
I'd like to assign a sound to "breakpoint hit"
(debugger paused).

See issue 27275 ( http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=27275 )

This requires a new option (it must be possible to turn it off).

Similar sound feedback will be added to editor find functionality. Perhaps the
sound feedback can be turned on/off for whole IDE.
