If a valid character in the editor Window is 
incompatible with source file encoding, an error 
should be raised when the file is saved.

It would also be nice if such "invalid" 
characters were visually marked in the GUI (a 
dedicated color ?).

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
