Yes, a JNLP project type has certainly been considered. There was no time to implement one for 4.0. However there has been some experimentation with the concepts. Tim was starting to write one. Besides the obvious deployment benefit, JNLP permits a much stronger project concept than the standard Java project type since it lets you define how to aggregate JARs (subprojects) in a structured way so they can be run as a coherent app - more like a J2EE EAR, for example. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 52638 *** |
