can you please add steps to reproduce?
I'm not frequent enough with the task list modude to recognize the problem in
the UI..

You have to download the "User Tasks" module from the beta autoupdate center.
open the attached test.ics with File/Open
Bring the view into sliding mode.
Click on the category cell of the second node (the first one is for the whole
task list).
Try to open the combobox.

i've tried with 4.0 fcs, on jdk 1.6 and it works for me. I've tried on Windows
XP with the XP and classing L&F.

What is wrong there for you?
do you click or invoke by keyboard?

All other comboboxes in the UI (like in property sheet and elsewhere) do work in
sliding mode correctly as well.

my java version:
java version "1.4.2_06"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_06-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2_06-b03, mixed mode)

OS: Windows 2000

it works if I use the keyboard

comboboxes in usertasks work too but not in the sliding mode.

Yes, confirmed, I just reproduced with JDK 1.6. It is reproducible *only* in User tasks window and only in sliding mode,
if User tasks window is made sliding.

Interestingly, when row in the table is made selected before and then mouse click is exactly where drop down button of
the combo will appear, then it works for the first click and combo box is expanded. However subsequent clicks don't
work. I have no idea what can cause such behavior...

No plan for fixing this now, low resources, sorry. Anyone from community is welcomed to try to fix this...
