This reminds me of the default setting for Windows Explorer. THe first thing I ever do when I install Windooze is to "Show file extensions" and "unhide" files. This has bugged me for sime time. On mutliple occasions I have found myself re-renaming files over and over. Ultimately, I get all flustered when I can't change a file extension. I think NB puts waaay too much value on a files extension. It should be a weighted thing, but not the bible and treated in such a controlled manner. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 27444 *** This issue had *2 votes* before move to platform component |
