Thank you for report. Could you provide us more info, please? When it happend? What exactly did you do? Did you add a platform? Did you upgraded from NB4.1? Do you have a multibyte characters in pathto the emulator? Could you either attach or send by email content of {userdir}/config/Services/Platforms? Also have you installed any other xml parser implementation into jdk/jre/lib/ext? It might have been installed by other products. It seems to be caused by WTK 2.2 installed in a directory (home) with '&' character. I'm not sure if it would happen for any emulator installed in such a location (wrong quoting mechanism) or because we install wtk as a default emulator during startup (no quoting at all). the problem is the "&" in path of your userdir. The bundled WTK is copied to this location and then the & malform the XML describing the platform. The easiest solution (1) should be to remove the file [your_userdir]\config\Services\Platforms\org-netbeans-api-java-Platform\J2ME_Wireless_Toolkit_2_2.xml It will recover your enviroment. Solution 2 is to change the userdir. This solution should be safer. You can do it with command line switch "--userdir [new_path_without_&]". Add it to [nb_install_dir]\etc\netbeans.conf or add it to command line. IMO, the same problem will appear when j2se platform is installed into a location with "&" in path. it happens only with the bundled WTK. User cannot add platform with character "&" in the installation path. The platform detection fails in this case. I got the same problem but with my JSE javadoc directory. At first I though it was related to my brand new roaming profile. Bad coincidence :( I reported the problem in issue #72550. fixed in trunk moving to mobility component *** Issue 77688 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** Adame, close it as FIXED when it's fixed in trunk. We will not fix it for 5.5 *** Issue 80956 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** fixed verified in 060913 close old issues |
