Symptom#1: to reproduce,
1. Under Source Packages, New->Java Package, create a new package "newpackage"
2. Rename "newpackage" to "NewPackage", the package disappeared!

Symptom#2: to reproduce,
1. Under Source Packages, New->Java Package, create a new package "newpackage"
2. Under "newpackage", New->Java Class, create a new class "NewClass.java"
3. Rename "newpackage" to "NewPackage", I got an error dialog with 'Next' disabled:

The following warning and errors were found. You can continue only with warnings.

As far as I know the NTFS is not case sensitive. It's only case preserving.

Resolving all issues with milestone "future" as LATER. If you feel strongly that
it should be implemented please reopen and set the target milestone to "next".
