netbeans-ent_pack-5_5_1-qbuild_6a-070209-linux.sh

Problem:
It takes about 7 seconds to delete a large number (over 25) of complex types
from a schema.

Steps:
Open HL7 schema
In column view expand complex types node
Select a large group and press delete
The delete happens very slowly

Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200710120000)
Java: 1.5.0_07; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.5.0_07-87
System: Mac OS X version 10.4.10 running on i386; MacRoman; en_US (nb)

Following the steps I originally provided, deleting many items works and is still slow.
Comment 6 tonybeckham 2008-01-25 00:02:27 UTC
Speed of deletion is pretty fast.
Deleting a large number of complex types from HL7's fields.xsd schema takes around 5 seconds. Per discussion in iteam,
this is a reasonable amount of time for such an action and is comparable to deleting a large number of folders from a
file system in windows or solaris.
