Description dscape 2007-11-23 16:30:34 UTC
I was trying to uninstall Netbeans 6.0 Beta 1 and got the following error (attach will follow).
So I tried to install current RC2 to see if that got me the problem fixed but instead i just got two installations that
cannot be removed.

Didn`t you remove %USERPROFILE%/.nbi directory by chance?
If it was not removed could you please attach the latest files from %USERPROFILE%/.nbi/log directory.

thanks,
dmitry

Well, yes, the issue existed in our previous builds. It was caused by the data loss during installation registry saving.

It has been fixed some time after Beta2 (and before RC1).

At this point you can do the manual cleaning from the existing installations according the following:
http://nbi.netbeans.org/docs/faq.html#cleaning

After that you would be able to install RC2 without problems (I hope;)

Thanks,
Dmitry
