So far, though using maven2 to build EJB modules is generally possible, the way of doing so ([1]) is to be considered a workaround at best. To further enhance this, two things seem to be desirable: (a) Being capable of choosing to create an "ejb artifact" in a "wizard driven" way which would add the right dependencies (ejb specs, ...). (b) Being capable of using the IDE in order to deploy any of these modules to a preconfigured application server. So far, there's [2] which is a working yet not very well-integrated solution to get that done. I think this one is done in 7.0 M2 we have a special wizard for ejb projects and deployment to app server shall work as well.
