[NetBeans main trunk build #200108170100] 1. Start fresh build 2. Open some form 3. Switch to MDI 4. Drag the [Source Editor] to the left part of desktop, so no scrollbars will be needed 5. Minimize [Source Editor] and [Component Inspector] 6. Exit and restart the IDE -> the position of minimized frames will change - [Source Editor] will be positioned much lower than it was.
In build 20010912. Minimized explorer(and some other windows) will be restored after restart.
Target milestone -> 3.3.1.
Jiri please take this one also.
[Jan 09 release33] I have tried it on Linux or w2k too and it works for me. It was fixed with issue 13593.
it works on jdk1.3.1_02 *but* try it on jdk1.4 ! jdk1.4 - minimized windows are positioned not at bottom but somewhere about middle
Created attachment 4064 [details] screenshot of IDE on jdk1.4-b90
Target milestone -> 3.4
I take this, I solved it with issue #12668
Fixed in DesktopPane.resizeDesktop(). After fix of #12668 swing sets icon position before desktop size is set => y is negative when IDE starts. Fix corrects value of y to bottom of desktop.
[20020118010100], jdk1.4 ok, minimazed frames stays minimazed so verifiing another issue was filed http://openide.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=19535
I must reopen this issue because I had to rollback fix of issue #12668. For more details look at issue #12668.
Reassigning back to jrechtacek.
reassigning back to Marek
Target milestone was changed from '3.4' to TBD.
It should be fixed as MDI desktop implementation will be changed.
platform/OS independent
In my opinion it works fine now, I tried it in [nb_dev](20021204) on [jdk1.4.2](b07)
verified, closed - it works fine in NB3.5
