Description David-john Burrowes 2001-11-13 23:45:26 UTC
One participant in a recent usability study commented that the "Search Filesystems" dialog did not indicate to them what would be
searched.

Recommendation: A note at the top of this dialog which informed the user that this would search all filesystems shown in the Filesystems
tab might be useful.

In a recent usability study, we had the same problem come up again.
Particpants were sometimes surprised what ended up being searched.

This was mostly fixed by the redesign of the Find dialogue (issue #35255) which introduced a new panel for selection of
search scope (all open projects / the main project / selected nodes). The fix of bug #115267 then added a description to
the search scope over selected nodes - it displays the name of the selected node (if there is just one node selected) or
a numer of nodes (if more nodes are selected).
