This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
I switched from one project to another and NetBeans stopped responding in the middle of the switch. See attached thread dump. Maybe this is a VCS problem.

Yes, it's a problem of VCS modules. The filesystem should probably not work with Nodes during it's inicialization.
Starting to work on it....
Requesting a waiver for FFJ 4.0 (Orion). Too late to fix.
About the waiver: You should reconsider this, because this bug did happen now several times here. So I would say, it's a bad one. When it happens, you have to kill NetBeans.
While trying to fix this problem I've found another bug described in issue #22528. Resolving the deadlock would make this bug even more visible. Thus issue #22528 must be fixed first and then this deadlock probably disappears. Considering this fact, the waiver for Orion is definite. But it's a good candidate for the first Jumbo patch.
Fixed. After issue #22528 was fixed, this problem should disappear.
For me, it's fine in NetBeans IDE Development Version (Build 200205070100) But this BUG also appears in FFJ_40(Orion FCS)
CC'ing sustaining group --- BUG also appears in version : FFJ40
Resolved for 3.4.x or earlier, no new info since then -> closing.
