See also: http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=88669 Steps to reproduce: - Load the c/c++ pack build project in the ide. - Select 'c/c++ build system' , right-click and select 'Create NBMs'. - NBMs are created but are not signed. Message: Not signing NBM file ..org-netbeans-modules-cnd-makeproject.nbm; no stored-key password provided or keystore (../${keystore}) doesn't exist.
This is not an issue starting with NB6, since CND is built as part of NB6 build (and therefore the sustaining branches for NB6 will also inherit the signing feature). Verified that the CND nbms in NB6 builds are signed with NB signature, by downloading nbms from http://deadlock.netbeans.org/hudson/job/javadoc-nbms/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/nbbuild/nbms/cnd1/. For sustaining branches for previous builds, this need not be fixed. We will get the nbms signed by the update center team prior to posting. Hence closing this issue as wontfix.

Michale, we would like to achieve that CND 5.5.1 Fixes NBMs would be signed directly from the build. Those available on our internal storage are not signed. I would say this could be just a matter of providing a key to the build infrastructure and adding three command line options to Ant execution. -R
