Deploying a WAR File to Sun Java System Application Server

  1. To start the server, in the IDE Runtime window, right-click Servers > Sun Java System Application Server 9 and choose Start.

  2. In the Runtime window, right-click Servers > Sun Java System Application Server 9 and choose View Admin Console.

  3. In the Administration Console, log in with the Username admin and Password adminadmin.

  4. In the left column, choose Applications > Web Applications.

    The Web application module opens, as shown in the following figure:

  5. Click Deploy.

  6. For Location, click the Package file to be uploaded to the Application Server button, click Browse, and then click Next.

  7. In the Deploy Web Module window (Figure 2), verify the settings, and then click Finish.

    The Web Application modules lists the application and shows it as deployed, as shown in Figure 3.
