I have stopped using netbeans. This editor / IDE is not stable enough for me. This is because, every time I open a new file with it the editor locks up in the same way. The only way to recover from this that I have found is to close the IDE and open it again. Someone PLEASE write codewright for Linux! reassigning to editor mark4, could you please answer following questions ? 1, please check who holds focus in the IDE - http://blogs.sun.com/jara/entry/which_component_holds_the_focus 2, generate TD http://wiki.netbeans.org/GenerateThreadDump 3, is your IDE version 6.0? You could consider to try a new version 6.1 or upcoming 6.5 4, when you switch off all IDE functions what will remain? Please attach threaddump as Lukas suggested, it will show where is the problem. Thanks Resolving all issues with milestone "future" as LATER. If you feel strongly that it should be implemented please reopen and set the target milestone to "next".
