On the left hand side of the editor window, a red box with an "x" appears if the compiler detects an error. Right clicking brings up several options. One is "Fixable Error", but then this asks you to select ONLY ONE item, "Fix Action". This is a waste of mouse clicks; I shouldn't have to click so I can then select only ONE option. Personally I like 5.5's feature: to fix an error, left click on the light bulb just to the right of the red "x" box.
The left click on light bulb works same as in 5.5. In addition you can use alt-enter shortcut.
OK, thanks, those work. Should still change "Fixable Error" in the right-click selection, though "Fixable Error" asks you to select ONLY ONE item, "Fix Action". This is a waste of mouse clicks; I shouldn't have to click so I can then select only ONE option. How about just "Fix Error" on the top level right click menu, which then immediately brings up the options to fix?
Probably quite difficult to do, and Alt-Enter and left-click on the annotation are preferred way to invoke the pop-up.
How would it be difficult? Just have the "Fixable Error" item bring up the pop-up window. This instead of having "Fixable Error" bring up the only seletion of "Fix code...", which then brings up the pop-up. Again, why would you ever have a list of only one item?
