In the main help menu of NB 6.0, there are two helpsets for Mobility Development. One is named "Java ME CDC Development" and this is good. The other is named "Java Micro Edition MIDP Development" and IMO this should be updated. Micro Edition should be abbreviated to "ME" as with the CDC pack and "CLDC" should be added to the title. Thus the main title for the menu might be something like: "Java ME MIDP/CLDC Development"
Created attachment 43948 [details] CDC and CLDC help menus with inconsistent use of ME
Follow up thought: If we rename this, we may also consider using Mobility or such as the first word rather than the somewhat generic "Java ME". This might make it easier for mobility developers to find the help they are looking for. It will also enable us to include help that is not necessarily Java ME related without confusion (like SVG). Possible names: Mobility CDC Development, Mobility CLDC/MIDP Development
Names will be changed to Java CLDC/MIDP development and Java CDC Development. "Mobility" is a generic term that would include JavaFX (theoretically) and non-Java development, so we can't use it in this context. We could put both under an umbrella "Java Mobility" heading, but this would move every topic one level down in the hierarchy, which would not be good.
Make is as simple as possible, ie. Mobility. If we really need two, then use Java ME MIDP and Java ME CDC.
