I have a suggestion for the Error notification pop-up windows that recommend checking your IDE settings. There should be a button that says "Open IDE configuration window" or "Take me there". I clicked on the "What's New" link in the "Welcome" tab that Netbeans shows on startup. I then received the pop-up window with the message: Cannot execute mozilla. Check that a valid external browser property is set. From the Tools menu, choose Options. Click Advanced Options button, expand IDE Configuration/Server and External Tool Settings node, then expand Web Browsers and choose valid browser. [OK] Since this is a blocking dialog, I have to dismiss it before I'm allowed to do what it says. This is too much to remember easily and the text is not selectable in my gnome/linux interface, so I made a screen snapshot. Would it be hard to have an additional button that opens the correct configuration window for the user? For example, "[Open the Options window for me]"
