In the plugin portal I have tried all kinds of combinations including just "Java" and "java" and it does not bring back
anything. I used to be able to search for "wadechandler" and could find my specific modules, and this does not work
either. I have set this to P1 as it makes the plugin portal pretty hard to use by not being able to search for specific
types of utilities.

Are you hitting the "ENTER" key to search?  If so, please see http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=96653.  If
this defect is a duplicate, please resolve it as a duplicate.

Gotcha...I searched IZ, but didn't limit my search to only the pluginportal...bad Wade bad Wade.
