Description rudyment 2007-08-30 08:17:43 UTC
The new version brings a plenty of possibilities for syntax highlighting, but forget for one relatively important: to
allow distinguishing the standard comment (its equal if it is one-line or multi-line) and a javadoc comment. I think it
will be useful to allow to set a special highlighting for a javadoc comments.

Now it is possible to set only the highlighting of the javadoc tags but not the whole javadoc comments.

Why do you need to distinguish them? CCing Jano and Stepan who the ui gurus behind the overhaul in editor colors for nb6.

I want to suggest this is a feature worth adding. The problem is you get the options set just right to for you Java Doc comments, then your non-Java Doc comments look poor.

It seems to me since there are eight categories for formatting in NetBeans 7.1 breaking out Comments to Java Doc comments and non-Java Doc comments would not add much confusion to the interface.

Thanks
