Hello! When I run NB on local machine everything is fine. But when I run NB on a remote server with X11-redirected display it takes about 20 minutes(!!) for the main window to draw its content. Redrawing also takes about 20 minutes. Splash screen performs normally. After the splash screen disappears the main window shows up but without any content (just a gray window). There is heavy traffic on the ethernet link. First attempts took place with WLAN connection, AP connected to the same LAN as the server. Further attempts took place with direct ethernet connection with gigabit links. Latter improves performance by some factors, but it still takes minutes to draw any window. Any other interaction with the ui is extemely slow as well. I've tried nx. This improves the situation dramatically. But the responsivness is still very poor. This performance renders NB unusable in a thin client environment. Yours, Sven
