This issue is seen the first time you start the IDE and open an XSD file You can navigate between the Source, Design and Schema view but unable to go from the toolbar into the editor? 1. Create newLoanApplication schema. Schema View is open by default. 2. Switch to the Source View using keyboard. After this, I see no way to move focus inside the view. When you are in design view for the first time, left and right arrows don't work. They switch views instead. Steps: 1. Create newLoanApplication schema. Schema View is open by default. 2. Switch to the Design View using keyboard. After this, I see no way to move focus inside the view.
Misha, Tony, I am using Vista and am not seeing this issue. This is what I did: 1) start IDE with a fresh user dir 2) Create a project, create purchaseOrder.xsd 3) It opens in Schema view 4) use CNTRL + ALT + PG UP to navigate between views (NOT tab key) 5) If in Design view, use left/right arrow key to navigate 6) if in source view, the cursor is already in the editor 1) start IDE with a fresh user dir 2) Create a project, create purchaseOrder.xsd 3) It opens in Schema view 4) use tab key to navigate between views. 5) If in Design view, use tab and then left/right arrow key to navigate 6) if in source view, use tab and the cursor is already in the editor Please confirm if you see the same or seeing something different
I am unable to reproduce on MAC OS. Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200803051205) Java: 1.5.0_13; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.5.0_13-119 System: Mac OS X version 10.5.2 running on i386; MacRoman; en_US (nb)
Sonali, Correct, I see the same. So it seems the way to access views by keyboard does exist.
If you all are in agreement, I'm not sure why we should keep this bug open.
