When you have configured a http proxy, cvs trys to access local repositorys via the proxy, even with correct no proxy for settings. This fails due to limitations of a http proxy (in this case squid) who can not cope with cvs. The Proxy is with password protection and mandatory for us to access the internet. Since Version 6.0 and 6.1Beta i have to disable proxy to access the cvs and enable it again to access all other features with Netbeans, this is totally annoying and i have to revert back to an older version.
Please attach screenshots of your Proxy settings in the IDE and also your CVS root string so that we can try to reproduce your exact usecase here.

Currently i found out that when i change the cvsroot info in 6.1 Beta to the symbolic name th-serv1.thiesen.de instead of 192.168.1.2 cvs works with activated proxy. But in 6.0.1 it makes no difference peter
You say that "th-serv1.thiesen.de" vs "192.168.1.2" makes a difference. In that case I think this is a proxy selector issue that treats those two differently although both are present in no-proxy-hosts. Please evaluate.
I'm sorry but i can only describe my findings with symbolic versus IPV4 address in beta6.1. No more evaluation can be done from my side so far. But if you describe what i can do to submit you with more detailed information give me a note.
