Description mccown 2008-03-29 03:57:48 UTC
Environment is a PC running Windows Vista SP1 and an attached Windows Mobile 6 PDA/Phone. Building a MIDlet works
fine. When I right-click on the project and select 'deploy', it copies the MIDlet files to the phone device, but
gives the following error:

Windows Mobile Deployment:
jar: C:\development\MobileApplication2\dist\MobileApplication2.jar
jad: C:\development\MobileApplication2\dist\MobileApplication2.jad
C:\development\MobileApplication2\nbproject\build-impl.xml:1089: The following error occurred while executing this
line:
C:\Program Files\NetBeans 6.1 Beta\mobility8\modules\scr\deploy-wm-impl.xml:49:
org.netbeans.mobility.activesync.ActiveSyncException: cannot start remote process

Again, the MIDlet does actually get copied to the PDA phone, but this message appears and no remote debugging is
possible. Windows Vista does not support ActiveSync, but instead uses "Windows Mobile Device Center". WMDC actually
works better, but appears to be incompatible with the netbeans connection to activesync.

I am sorry for decreasing priority, but the Win Mobile is not officially supported platform, this support is rather
complimentary. I hope we will to get this working for Vista as well soon, but this is a home work not regular job.

Really not sure if we are able to solve this now. Requires a lot of work, no resources at the moment. Maybe in future
