Yes, it is. At least on my 1.8GHz Athlon with enough memory. Steps to reproduce: Create a file, write some mixed rhtml/ruby code, save it, edit it again, adding some garbage method, like <%= asdfsdafsadfdsaf() %> and then try to select it by ctrl+shift+left/right - the selecting operation is slow, if you write something after that method, it will be slow also. It happens in time interval when method's font isn't bold. After it has been became bold, editing is fast.
In 6.0.1 this issue is not present.
I think this is fixed. There was a pretty bad performance bug related to ERb editing in 6.1 which was fixed in a patch release to 6.1 (and of course in 6.5). *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 134329 ***
