Description luismolina 2008-05-16 07:45:49 UTC
hi, when you run the depot sample application, all the links in the main navigator at the left are bad.
Comment 1 Martin Krauskopf 2008-05-16 08:00:39 UTC
Could you provide more info. What does it mean 'bad'? For which file?
Comment 2 Martin Krauskopf 2008-05-16 09:10:57 UTC
More info from Luis:

hi, please take the sample, run it and click in the links, you will see the light...

I don't see the light however. If I:

1) create Depot sample
2) Open e.g. info_controller.rb
3) I can click the links in the Navigator (Menu -> Windows -> Navigating -> Navigator)

Could you provide similar steps as above.

And please comment directly to the issue, rather then sending directly to the developer, since other developers see
what's going on. E.g. in this case issue is assigned to Tor, so if you send emails to me, it does not help Tor. Thanks.

Seems to be a bug (or rather an unimplemented feature) in the Depot sample application. The app is meant to be just a
sample, not a fully working application.

Reassigning to rails anyway, need to think what we will do with this. We might remove the links that don't work in the
sample app or implement some functionality behind them. Also need to check whether the 3rd edition of the Agile Web
Development book brings a new version of the app.

Downgrading to P4 as per the reasoning in desc5.
Comment 6 Erno Mononen 2008-11-20 18:49:20 UTC
I plan to upgrade the sample to the one from the 3rd edition of the Agile Web Development with Rails book, will look at
this then again.
