Glassfish V3 TP2 does not support JavaMail Resources; however, user was able to create a sun-resources.xml JavaMail file within a Webmodule and deploy to the Glassfish V3 server Steps To Reproduce 1. Install NB6.5 nightly build, Glassfish V3-TP2 plugin and server 2. Create a WebModule 3. Add a new JavaMail session to the the recently created web module > deploy the webmodule
Javamail resources are not yet supported by V3 and won't be in the NB 6.5 timeframe. I don't know if there is a way to disable the capability to create the resource. Even if we could, the user could switch to V2, create the resource, then switch back (or more likely, just migrate from V2 with the resource already existing). The <Send Email> option is not available when V3 is the current server though. Probably best we can do for 6.5. Setting target milestone to future.
This really looks like a request for the resource wizards to be a bit more 'target aware'... still an enhancement though.
