ability to point the webroot to a sub-directory within the project

I am unable to repoint the webroot to a sub-directory within the project when trying to debug a legacy cakephp project.

My project struture:
  |- Source Files
    |- WWWroot
	    |- index.php
    |- cake
    |- dt

	
Ideally, I would like to be able to put all project files in a single directory that is not a webroot and be able to 
configure the "WWWroot" directory to act as the webroot.

php.project responsibility -> RFE. If implemented in php.project, please reasign back to php.debugger
