I use a fairly small font in my edit windows so that I can get a lot of text on the screen, and so that 80 columns will not take up that much space horizontally. That's great, but my font selection does not affect the output window, which uses a rather space-consuming font. As a result, when things are set up perfectly for my edit window, they are horrible for the output window, where lines are often longer than 80 columns anyway -- everything is heavily wrapped. As far as I can tell, there is no way to control the font used in the output window. In general I would like to make the output window font no bigger than, and perhaps smaller than, my edit font. With the edit font, you need to be able to select text with the mouse, but that isn't generally a concern in the output window. An easy thing to do (presumably) that would help would be to use our font selection for the edit window in the output window as well. A somewhat more demanding solution would be to allow us to control them independently.
