I don't understand this. Where are you trying to install the Spring Framework from? Did you download it from Plugin Portal or install it from some Update Center. I can install "Spring Web MVC" plugin v 1.3.1 from NetBeans Update Center without any problems in NetBeans 6.5. Can you attach here some screenshot explaining the problem? Thanks a lot!

i have downloaded it, becuase in updatecenter it is not available: this is the pluginname: spring-support-plugin-1.1.nbm IT IS not the Spring Meb MCV plugin, this i can istall as well, but the Spring-Framework plugin does not work
I see. Thanks for the explanation! Reassigning to Craig MacKay - owner of the plugin. Craig, can you please update the dependencies and upload new version of your plugin that will work with NetBeans 6.5? Right now the plugin [1] claims to work with NetBeans 6.* which is obviously not true. Thanks a lot! [1] http://plugins.netbeans.org/PluginPortal/faces/PluginDetailPage.jsp?pluginid=808
The plugin is not intended to work with versions after 6.0 because the Spring Framework support is now integrated into Netbeans. No plugin is required since it is installed by default. If you do a default installation of Netbeans you should see 3 modules that are Spring related(Spring Beans, Spring Framework Integration, Spring Web MVC). My plugin has only been made available for download for users of older versions of the Netbeans IDE. Any users using 6.1 and above should not require additional modules to utilize the Spring Framework related features. Hope this helps. Thanks, -Craig
I understand. Can you please update the "Works with" value from 6.x to 6.0 then? It's confusing now. Thanks Craig!
I have added some additional notes to the plugin portal page to reflect that the module is for use with only version 5.5 and 6.0. Anyone using newer versions of the IDE should not require installing additional modules.
Great, thanks! Closing this bug now.
