java projects -- both j2se, j2ee -- the projects/properties dialog -- keeeps getting bigger and bigger; when trying to edit the run tab -- or sources -- i have to use the scroll bar to find the area to edit text or find buttons; today when starting nb65 it was so much bigger i decided to do the painful -- very painful task of starting nb65 without an existing .netbeans/6.5 directory -- to force things to fresh -- but now i am forced to loose all my project groups and preferences -- very painful. this took about a month of use to manifest; after restarting nb65 fresh -- the favorites seems broken -- i can no longer see filename that begin with "." -- a period. how do i fix that; how can i reinitialize nb65 without loosing all my preferences/favorites, project groups ?????? i saved my bad .netbeans/6.5 directory in case i can somehow reuse it later. there is no receipe for recreating this issue -- just really use netbeans alot.
i discovered a way to reproduce the problem; create a netbeans java project; all default options; build project -- no editing, no customizations; choose project properties -- in my case -- not exhaustive testing -- i open each tab to look at settings; like Sources, Libraries, Build/Compiling, Build/Packaging, ...etc; once i select Monitoring and Management -- the properties window get bigger;
