After following the instructions on https://nbstruts2support.dev.java.net/installation.html to get support for the new version of Struts, the following 
message appeared to me:

Some plugins require plugin XML Text Editor to be installed.
The plugin XML Text Editor is requested in implementation version 4.
The following plugin is affected: Struts2 Support

I assume it was working fine with Netbeans 6.0.1, but it doesn't anymore.

Also, it would be great if I could simply update my Struts to version 2 via the Plugins window the regular way. Instead, I had to follow the instructions on 
the page and download the update myself, which ultimately didn't even work.
