This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
Currently when a Kenai project repository is checked out by a user, it is scanned and if NetBeans projects are found in the repo the user is presented with a dialog box with the list of these NetBeans project and he can easily open them directly at the moment. We have a nice Eclipse project importer in NetBeans. It would be very easy to recognize folders of Eclipse projects during the scan we are doing, and offer a similar dialog box to the user listing the recognized Eclipse projects. If the user chooses one of the Eclipse projects we would open Eclipse project importer wizard for him automatically and prefill the path to this Eclipse project there. I found several Kenai projects on kenai.com which contain only Eclipse projects and no NetBeans projects. I think this small enhancement would be very useful for attracting more users from Kenai to use NetBeans for their projects.
+1
So far I consider this as P1 RFE for next release.
This is not specific to kenai, but to all versioning checkouts.
