Description kmusham 2009-07-01 20:31:29 UTC
Hi,
I am using Netbeans 6.7 version on Windows Vista 64 bit. And I am using default Java ME SDK 3.0 which is bundled with
IDE.
So my problem is I have to clean RMS database very often to test my application. Prevously with WTK 2.5.2.1 version
with Netbeans 6.5, I used to do Project Properties->Manage Emulators->Tools and Extensions->Utilities->Clean Database

Now looks like it is disabled (grayed out) and I did not see a way to clean databse from netbeans IDE.
And also the Preference is disable to enable/disable my network traffic and etc ...

Can you tell me how can I do it with 3.0 SDK from Netbeans IDE?

There is no such option in Java ME SDK directly, you can manage storage when device is started by View | External State
Generator (device not NetBeans menu

I am sorry,
I did not understand quite well. I did see any relevent options under "External Event Generator".
I see only Location, Sensors, File Connection, Payment Transactions and please guide me to clean my emulator database
using above options!!

Please send me a link or document which explains the same.

Thanks for the cooperation.

Kiran

There is no Clean Database action in Java ME SDK 3.0.
Comment 4 Petr Suchomel 2009-07-15 09:26:59 UTC
As long as Java ME SDK does not support this option, I am closing this issue against NetBeans. Radko, could you consider
to have this as an RFE for Java ME SDK . next?

I stopped using 3.0 SDK and installed old 2.5.2_01 WTK.
It serves all my requirements and as of now I did not see any advantage of having 3.0 atleast for my requirements.

Hi guys,

even this feature isn't available in SDK it could be done in netbeans by deleting some files from file system.

I'm from time to time facing this problem and it would be really nice if i can have button for this.

Thanks
