Tried 6.7 and 6.7.1; when attempting to install plugin it fails with a message indicating an incompatibility; my apology for not capturing the message. I am becoming increasingly dependent upon NetBeans and after using 6.5 and 6.5.1 I was very pleased but the upgrade to 6.7 and then 6.7.1 was a disaster for me as I have to roll-back to 6.5.1 in order to work. I only use NetBeans for Identity Management development but based on my attempted upgrade; I would recommend putting a disclaimer out or removing 6.7.x or notify people that this is not a stable release. Please let me know if I am missing something; I sure feel as if I am based on the results of the 6.7.x upgrade which I could not recommend to anyone. If I can be of service testing releases, please let me know; I will be happy to help as I can.
Hi, sorry for a late reply. I am not sure I understand the problem, things work for me. When I go to Tools -> Plugins, click on the Installed tab, click "Show Details", I see Identity Management as one of the plugins. It can be enabled without any problems. Can you please describe the exact steps you do, and what exact message the IDE gives you? Thanks.
I had to back off 6.7 and 6.5 due to problems with the current Sun Identity Manager nbm which is not supported beyond NetBeans 6.1. I have been informed by the Sun Product Team that working with NetBeans beyond 6.1 produces inconsistent results with com-sun-idm-ide_8.1.0.20080630. The http://identitymanageride.dev.java.net/downloads.html page has a 9.0 nbm that is available for testing but not supported - that is for 6.5.1 Unfortunately, due to my work in delivery, I cannot test at an unsupported revision level. If you can do what I could not this may be due to a problem on my end unknown to me. I appreciate the follow up and will upgrade as soon as I have a supported configuration but, it looks like my next upgrade will take me only to 6.5 as there is no Identity Manager nbm plugin available for 6.7. I have changed the status to "LATER" due to this development.
