Product Version: NetBeans IDE 6.8 Beta (Build 200910202101) Java: 1.5.0_20; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.5.0_20-141 System: Mac OS X version 10.5.8 running on i386; MacRoman; en_US (nb) If I opened the table with issues for the first time, I would need some time to figure out that double-click need to be used in order to open an issue. It would be nice to add "[double-click to open]" message in the tooltip. This is a problem only for the very first time, so this issue is not very important.
(Alternatively, you can change the issue ID to a link that opens the issue on a single click)
Or Open action in context menu?
Good point! Agree this may not be entirely clear at f should be some indication .. preferably the link .. (the hint takes screen estate, is generally not read by everyone and only clutters the UI once the user figured this out). I'd even say the link text should be the description, not the ID. I tend to think people use the description as a "unique identifier" to issue rather than the ID.
if no objection is raised, we will render the summary as a hyperlink and add a open issue action to the context menu.

changed our mind - a hyperlink would just add one more visual effect to the already colorful table - lets just keep it simple and add a ctx menu into the table: - open - add to category - submit (in case of outgoing changes) - (multiple edit maybe ?) - ...
