Hi close should be available in the context menu of the graphical diff window (as it was in version 3.2.1) Best regards Henning
This was actually designed this way. The graphical diff component docks into Editor and was desired to make it to look similar as other editor panes. These also do not have any "Close" buttons. You can use "Close" command from the popup menu.
This is as designed. Verifying ...
Maybe i was not clear: if you right-click into the source browser (which shows a 'normal' java file) you are able to select 'close (Ctrl-F4)' from the popup menu. This is not possible if the source browser shows a graphical diff. But Ctrl-F4 still works... I hope that it is not impertinent that i reopened this issue... Best regards Henning
No, it is not impertinent to reopen an issue when you think, that it's not fixed. However I really have the close action there on the right-click menu. Can you please provide your build number?
Created attachment 3951 [details] The diff window with the popup menu in today's 3.3.1 build.
Ah, yes, you did a right click on one of the many 'tabs'. But i mean a right click within the area showing the source code. That's the point. If the source editor shows a 'normal' view of a source, there is a 'close' action in that menu. if the source editor shows a diff view of a source, there is no such action available. i've tested this behaviour with NB3.3.0. I can't give you the exact build number at the moment, but it was the build which was announced on 12th of December.
Oh yes, now I get it. I've never used Close on the popup menu INSIDE the component. No need the exact build now I know what do you mean :-) Moving to vcscore module, where the visual diff is actually implemented.
UI keyword added.
