Previously when use Output->Terminal and start term => user's shell was automatically run. now /bin/sh is always run and I have to run i.e. "bash" manually.

is it too late for 6.9.1? What do you think, can/should we fix this in 6.9.1?

I don't think it's a real patch candidate as it has a very simple workaround and the feature itself is experimental.
