It's a daunting task finding working plugins that are verified for a specific NetBeans versions...

The filtering/search mechanism should be improved for the online plugin portal search to support this feature.

For example, one should be able to filter for all NetBeans 6.9 verified plugins with or without keywords.

This is certainly not a defect but request for enhancement. Unfortunately, Michal is no longer maintaining the Plugin Portal so let's hope that David Botterill will find some time for this.

Luckily, if you are interested in only for plugin verified for NetBeans version 6.8 you can get it here:

http://www.netbeans.info/uc/show_uc_content.php?ucurl=http://plugins.netbeans.org/nbpluginportal/updates/6.8/catalog.xml

This works fine in the NetBeans IDE however filtering out plugins verified for some NetBeans version is not possible via web browser. Given the former feature, it's not that critical so downgrading to P2.

I noticed a usability problem with the current state though, see bug 215497.
