This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
If I do a normal install (chmod +x netbeans-dev-...sh; ./netbeans-dev..; or sh netbeans-dev...) the files and directories installed in /usr/local are accessible only by user and group. I can fix this with a umask 0002 before running the installer. I prefer root to have a umask of 0007 for most things. Should this be the user's responsibility? If so perhaps I missed the instruction. I would like it to be handled by the installer, but that's one man's opinion.
