Description ssffleming 2002-02-07 18:52:39 UTC
Testing on NT 4, EE build 020206_1

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open fresh IDE with pre-open sources in source editor
2. Ctrl+F, type in text that causes find to scroll source file
3. Click close button.

Editor jumps back to original screen location. I would expect
"Close" to simply close the window rather than change the UI.
Maybe this should be "Cancel".

Likewise clicking the "Find" button does not Find again but
simply closes the window.

Very strange...

This is as designed behaviour.
Anyway, I am changing this to ENHANCEMENT and ccing our UI expert.
Gabo, could you please solve this issue?
Thanks,
Mato

See also 17635 which has a design recommendation from an HIE. This bug
should probably be marked as a duplicate of 17635.

I too have recently run a usability test and users ran into this issue.

I completely agree this is an imporant usability issue. As already
mentioned, it is covered in #17635 so marking this one as a duplicate.
