Not much javadoc, but very large javadoc window.

The javadoc window is always the same size and takes up a lot of space in the editor, even if there isn't much content. Would be great if the javadoc window would resize automatically depending on its content. An example screenshot is attached.

Yes but one concern should remain in focus - the window should not change its size (too often) when browsing the list. If the javadocs for various items in the list have considerably different lengths, then a space-conserving window would jump up and down in size what would be a) inconvenient per-se, b) would make reading more difficult if the first line of each javadoc was not displayed always in the same position.

Yes, I agree.

Ideally the user would be able to use their mouse to resize the javadoc window.

How? The javadoc window content follows the mouse, as you move on navigator it refreshes.
When you move from navigator, it hides. So you cannot affect javadoc window size by mouse if you want to have the follow mouse behavior.
